Les Dames D’Escoffier, BC Chapter is Proud to Honour Chef Bruno Marti
Gala Dinner with Vancouver and Canada’s Well-loved Mentor and Chef

On Friday, September 22nd, the BC Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier honours Vancouver’s well-loved chef, restaurateur and culinary icon, Bruno Marti. Though now “retired” as an active restaurateur, the former chef and owner of La Belle Auberge, continues to play an active and key role in some of the world’s most prestigious culinary competitions.

Recipient of the Order of British Columbia and the Queen’s Jubilee Award, he was inducted into the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame and is the only Canadian chef to be inducted into the American Culinary Federation Hall of Fame.

The evening begins with a Champagne reception with the Okanagan Chefs’ Association, led by Chef Bernard Casavant, followed by a multi-course dinner prepared by BC and Alberta leading chefs, most of them La Belle Auberge alumni who consider Bruno their mentor and friend. The evening’s menu will be overseen by Les Dames member, Chef Margaret Chisholm of Coast Culinary, as we create an exciting menu for the magical evening of food and wine. Special guest speaker Chef Anton Mosimann, flying in from London to honour his friend Bruno, will have his recipes interpreted and prepared by Chef Scott Jaeger.
