Although well known for pioneering liquor laws and paving the way for modern day brewpubs in Canada, Spinnakers has always believed that the measure of a good pub is in it’s ability to serve a good meal along with a good pint.
From day one, the Spinnakers’ kitchen has followed in the artisan roots of the brewery. From an open kitchen equal weight was given to the relationships between cook and patron as is typical of the bartender / patron relationship. Getting to know your cook is as important as getting to know your bartender or your spirits merchant. At a time when there was an increasing disconnect between farmers and consumers, the Spinnakers kitchen team has increasingly engaged in the pursuit of local, seasonal, sustainable foods, prepared on site, from scratch. Our menu changes with the seasons, showcasing what’s grown and raised close to home.
In addition to a four course paired dinner, Spinnaker’s will host a cider tasting before the dinner and give every guest a house made truffle and beer sample pack as a parting gift!
