Open since 2005 summer, Zest Japanese Cuisine is an amalgamation of coincidence and destiny. Owner/Chef Yoshiaki Maniwa was eager to bring to Vancouver a dining concept that would raise the bar of perceived Japanese cuisine . He found the partner who deeply shared that vision. Zest now appointed a young talented sommelier/chef Tatsuya Katagiri as an executive chef, who has a passion for wine and creative cuisine. Awarded Gold for ‘Best upscale Japanese Restaurant’ in ’14 and’15 by Vancouver Magazine, as well as ‘Top 100 Restaurants in Canada’ by OpenTable in 2015.
