April 4, 2017 – Vancouver, BC – After a year of fundraising, an intensive search and rigorous application process, 28 women from across British Columbia and beyond, both at the beginning of their careers and at a turning point or development stage in a mature career, have been awarded Les Dames d’Escoffier scholarships to advance and enhance their careers in culinary, hospitality, business, wine and other arts of the table.

It was an unforgettable evening of Italian food, wine and song for fans of Lidia Bastianich as the BC Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier honoured the Emmy award wining TV personality, cookbook author and restaurateur, Lidia Bastianich on September 23, 2016 at the Four Seasons Hotel. The SOLD OUT event for 100 dinner guests who enjoyed Vancouver’s leading chefs saluted the Nonna of Italian cuisine.

(Vancouver, BC) – On Monday, April 25th members of Les Dames d’Escoffier BC Chapter gathered at Culinary Capers Catering for a very special evening – the organization’s annual Scholarship Reception. “This event is culmination of our volunteer efforts through the previous year” says Chapter President Bonita Jo Magee. “We spend the year raising funds so that we can financially support women who wish to further their culinary careers through taking various culinary, hospitality and beverage programs or courses.”
